1st International Nursing Forum in Sri Lanka 2013

IIHS organized the 1st Nursing Research Forum in Sri Lanka on 21st May 2013 with the participation of an eminent panel consisted of leading delegates from La Trobe University Australia, Charles Darwin University Australia, Tafe South Australia, Coventry University UK & Open University Malaysia. It was a great platform to exhibit the research findings of the students where 26 Paper Presentations & 12 poster presentations were exhibited during this historical event. Ms. Rixy Lasanthi Dassanayake, Registered Nurse from National Hospital Colombo, an undergraduate student following Bachelor of Nursing –Open University Malaysia program at IIHS won the Gold award for Poster presentation where Shamna Aishath & Abdul Razzaag Buthoola, two Maldivian undergraduate students at IIHS following Diploma in General Nursing program won the Silver award for Poster presentation. Chathuran Herath, Gayan Wijewardana & Shafin Majid, IIHS undergradues secured the Bronz award for Poser Presentation. IIHS undergraduate students Manchula Navaratnasingham, Sashya Kandanearatchy and Puneesha Pasqual won the Gold, Silver & Bronz awards respectively in the Oral presentation event.

Research Forum – November 2013

Colombo is the commercial and business center of Sri Lanka located on west cost. The city blends together with old colonial type building, high-rise commercial buildings and hotels. It is filled with shopping malls, airline offices bazaars and interesting tourist attractions. Some of the finest structures built during the colonial times still preserved in one part of the City. Colombo is home to majority of Sri Lankan corporate and Government offices.

Research Forum – November 2014 Health Research Unlimited

Bio Inquirer 3rd Research Forum was organized by IIHS in November 2014. Over 50 research papers were presented by IIHS students and staff in this forum. Bio Inquirer Research Forum is a platform which gives opportunities to local and international communities to gather and share knowledge.
