Currently I'm studying for the Diploma of Laboratory Technology (Specializing in Biotechnology) program at Box Hill Institute Australia. Dr. Kithsiri Edirisinghe (MBBS, MSc, MD (Medical Administration), has over 12 years experience in state health sector and almost 10 years experience in private health sector. He is also an expert in Hospital Project Management and Hospital Operational Management. He established and operationalized a large chain of hospitals in the private sector. He has been in the healthcare training and development for

10 years and Possess Certificate IV in Training and assessment and he is also a Certified Master Trainer, Australia. Dr Edirisinghe is a Visiting lecturer at Post Graduate Institute of Medicine, UOC and the head of the faculty of management at IIHS. He was the selected candidate to represent Sri Lanka in International Visitor Leadership Program 2012 by USA, Department of State Bureau and Cultural Affairs and a pioneer in organizing International undergraduate and Post graduate level nursing programs in Sri Lanka. He was awarded the entrepreneur of the year by Asian Grid awards, India in 2009.

His research interest includes Strategic Management in Health, Health Care Quality and Risk Management, Legal and Ethical Environment in Health and Research in Health Care. His Training Expertise includes qualifications in medicine and health administration, he also possesses a Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment and is an Australian Certified Master Trainer. He was recently selected by the US Government to undergo a leadership program in the area of alternatives to Higher Education.

Academic profile & working experience

Hernando Garzon, MD is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and has practiced with Kaiser Permanente since 1992. His 14 domestic disaster response deployments have been with the FEMA Urban Search and Rescue system, and have included the Oklahoma City bombing, the World Trade Center during the 9/11 terrorist attacks, New Orleans during Hurricaine Katrina, and others. His 8 international disaster responses have been with multiple humanitarian relief organizations, and have included the Southest Asia Tsunami in Sri Lanka, The Kashmir earthquake in Pakistan, civil unrest situations in Kenya and Nigeria, the Haiti earthquake, and most recently the famine/drought in Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia. Dr. Garzon serves as the Director for Kaiser Permanente's Global Health Program, and in this role has helped develop capacity building and sustainable volunteer clinical programs in Kenya, Zambia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and other countires for the clinical staff and residnets of Kaiser Permanente.

He also serves on the Board of Directors for Relief International, and actively participates in their emergency response and capaity building medical programs. Dr. Garzon teaches extensively and frequently on disaster medical care and humanitarian medical response. He has served on national and California state panels working to define Crisis Medical Care guidelines and Pandemic Flu care guidelines. He has been a consultant and teacher for the USA Department of State on medical care for weapons of mass destruction. As Chair of the Emergency Management Committee for Kaiser Permanente's 21 hospital system in northern California, Dr. Garzon is responsible for the emergency and disaster response capability of one of the largest health care providers in the U.S. Dr. Garzon received the The Permanente Medical Group exceptional contribution award in 2003, and the David Lawrence Community Service award in 2010. In years past, he has been recognized with a "heros in healthcare" award by the Red Cross in Yolo and Sacramento counties and by the Sacramento Business Journal.
